About KOSHISH

Established in 2008, KOSHISH, a National Mental Health Organization is working in the promotion of mental health and psychosocial well-being in Nepal.

KOSHISH promotes self-advocacy in the spirit of “NOTHING ABOUT US WITHOUT US.”

KOSHISH aims to create model recovery oriented person centered mental health services, which includes mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in health as well as beyond the health system (i.e. social protection, employment, etc.) that is replicable by the government and other stakeholders.

Our Mission

KOSHISH seeks to ensure a dignified life for persons with mental health conditions and psychosocial disability through harmonization and implementation of laws and policies in line with international human rights treaties including UNCRPD, and promotion of person-centered right-based community mental health services.

Authenticity

KOSHISH is registered at District Administration Office, Kathmandu with Reg. No. 086/065 and affiliated with Social Welfare Council, Nepal, Reg.No. 25676.

Being an OPD of Psychosocial Disability, KOSHISH is a member organization of the National Federation of Disabled-Nepal (NFDN) from 2066/07/19 B.S.
