About Us


KOSHISH, National Mental Health Self-Help Organization / Organization of Persons with Disability (OPD), established in 2008, is breaking the silence and amplifying the voices of right holders for the inclusion of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in health as well as beyond the health system in Nepal. KOSHISH promotes CRPD incompliance, rights of persons with mental health condition and psychosocial disability as well as working towards person-centered right based approach to community mental health model service deliveries that is replicable by the government or other stakeholders.

Our Mission

KOSHISH seeks to ensure a dignified life for persons with mental health conditions and psychosocial disability through harmonization and implementation of laws and policies in line with international human rights treaties including UNCRPD, and promotion of person-centered right-based community mental health services.


KOSHISH is registered at District Administration Office, Kathmandu with Reg. No. 086/065 and affiliated with Social Welfare Council, Nepal, Reg.No. 25676.

Being an OPD of Psychosocial Disability, KOSHISH is a member organization of the National Federation of Disabled-Nepal (NFDN) from 2066/07/19 B.S.
