JOB SUMMARY: The Project Team Leader (PTL) has been assigned for overall leadership of project planning, effective implementation, policy level advocacy from local to federal and control of the "Provision of essential psycho-social and mental health support to women, youth and excluded groups in the COVID-19 context" project supported by UNWOMEN and implemented by the consortium comprised of KOSHISH, Mitini Nepal and Youth Thinkers Society. It specifies expected results and personal and professional qualities to ensure project deliverable in Province-2, Bagmati Province and Sudurpaschim Province. PTL report to the Programme Director of the lead consortium member cum chairperson of the PSC (Project Steering Committee).
Ensured project deliverable through consortium partners as per agreed scope of the work in the project
Project resources are optimally mobilized to ensure effectiveness and impact of the project
Key stakeholders are sensitized and policy review document is prepared
A toll-free number is operationalized and functional
Quarterly reports (meeting minimal quality parameter) are produced and disseminated among key stakeholders
Mental health and psychosocial wellbeing is promoted in the project through awareness, services, information and communication
Strong rapport is built among key stakeholders (all level) through ongoing coordination, collaboration and engagement
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Project planning and implementation and review of the project
Design project interventions in line with project steering committee direction
Coordination among consortium partners for strong collaborative work
Capacity building and mentoring of project staff
Act as the point of contact for project issues
Develop strong networking and collaboration with stakeholders of the project
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
Prepare periodic report as per the requirement of funding agencies and consortium partners
Submit project progress update to the project steering committee in monthly basis.
Coordinate with the UNWOMEN as a point person for the project
Ensure documentation of success stories, record and database of beneficiaries, pictures, and voices from the field.
Effective mobilization of budget in line with compliance requirement
Support Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to maintain and update quality data of the project
Others as specified by project steering committee
Overall responsibility in achieving the project deliverable within the deadline
QUALIFICATIONS & ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALITIES
At least Master degree psychology, psychiatry, clinical, social or mental health from recognized University
Minimum five years' working experience in similar role
Experience of team work and working in a consortium
Leadership and networking skill
Flexibility and creativity
Dynamic personality being able to easily adopt to a new team environment
Excellent documentation, communication and presentation skills in English and Nepali languages (both written and verbal)
A collaborative mindset, problem solving skills and the ability to lead a small highly qualified team for delivery of a time-bound result is essential.
Ability to multitask and work well with multiple stakeholders, internal and external
Willingness to travel within and outside the province
Advanced Knowledge of Mental health and disability added advantage
Proficient with MS Office, especially in Words, MS Excel and/or Database Management, Power Point and Presentation and internet equipped
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Priority will be given for qualified youth representing vulnerable communities
